The Department of Psychiatry and Narcology at TMA has been a leading institution in training professionals in the field of psychiatry and narcology since its establishment. It has played a crucial role in developing the scientific community of psychiatrists and narcologists in Uzbekistan.
At present, the department consists of 19 staff members, including 2 professors, 3 doctors of science and 2 candidates of science and 5 PhD.

Areas of scientific interest: schizophrenia, drug addiction, cognitive deficits in drug addiction, alcoholism in women, depression, suicide, treatment of mental health disorders.
